UNIVERSAL CITY — Boozy frozen elixirs are only a drive-thru away at Sipit Daiquiris To-Go.
The spot offers 29 varieties. During the pandemic, there’s no inside service.
“Society is getting lazier and lazier, so why not come up with a concept to get your drink and go?” said owner Bernardo Baxter.
After the frozen daiquiris gained popularity at WingIt, his nearby chicken-wing restaurant, he created the spinoff establishment.
The business held a grand opening in early February at 1717 Pat Booker Road.
Among the classic flavors are strawberry, piña colada, Hurricane, Long Island, margarita, mudslide and more. Those can be mixed to create another 18 such as Taste the Rainbow — a mixture of Hurricane, mango and strawberry — or Tiger’s Blood, which combines piña colada and Hurricane.
Baxter said his favorite is Cyclone, a reminder of the blue raspberry slushy he gets at a movie theater.
Drink sizes range from 20 to 32 ounces and up to a half-gallon. However, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., customers can get a 16-ounce “lunch” size.
In addition to daiquiris, patrons can indulge in gelatin shots and beer to-go.
During regular operation, hours are noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to midnight Friday and Saturday.
