The owner and staff at Club Pilates are ready to guide clients on a journey to fitness and better health, they said.
“We want to know everyone personally here. We want it to be not just a workout, but an experience,” said owner Christian Mueller, a trainer of four years.
The franchise, opened Aug. 15, is at 21803 Interstate 10 West, Suite 104 near The Dominion. It’s the chain’s seventh studio in the San Antonio area.
Club Pilates was founded in 2007 in San Diego, California, based on Joseph Pilates’ exercise methods, according to a company website. He invented the Reformer machine, with straps, springs, a large frame and a moving platform.
“What I think is beautiful about Club Pilates is they took what was so exclusive and they brought it to the masses,” Mueller said, adding the experience is very affordable.
Members can choose from nine unique classes and four levels.
“I just really love the low impact on the joints. The modifications are everything,” Mueller said.
Options range from Reformer Flow, a full-body workout using the Reformer, to F.I.T., or functional interval training, to center and balance.
“I started doing Pilates and it increased my flexibility tremendously, as well as my balance. That was actually one of my favorite classes, the center and balance one,” Mueller said.
Sessions are even available for teenagers.
“There are different exercises that are right for different phases of life,” he added.
First-timers can try a free, 30-minute class before enrolling.
Hours are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.
