Customers visiting Holy Pops to taste handcrafted frozen delicacies might be in for a divine experience of the culinary kind, according to staffers.
“I just think a treat or a dessert is a must — always. This is something that you can always enjoy no matter the weather,’’ said owner Maria Garcia.
The shop at 19141 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite 303 in Sonterra Village, debuted in March.
Holy Pops offers 15 to 20 “natural and unique” flavors for ice pops made from scratch, Garcia said.
The entrepreneur from Guadalajara, Mexico, also specializes in creating milkshakes, mangonadas and shaved ice with various toppings.
“I just wanted to bring a little something from back home, so that is why I merged (frozen pops) and shaved iced,” Garcia said.
Offering sugar-free, creamy and fruit-based recipes, the proprietor noted everyone gets a goody.
Holy Pops provides a family-friendly atmosphere including tabletop games, the owner said.
Popular frozen pop flavors such as mango, chamoy, Nutella, Oreo, red velvet and Gansito can be topped by dry vegetables, wafer cookies, Gummi Bears and Fruity Pebbles.
Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
