Sports fans including golf aficionados looking for a cold beer, picturesque views and all the games can find a hole-in-one at Grille 254.
The watering hole is at 16641 La Cantera Parkway in the La Cantera Resort & Spa.
Its name derives from a PGA Tour then-record finishing score of 254 shot by Tommy Armour III at La Cantera Resort Course in 2003 during the four-round Valero Texas Open.
“This is a sports bar where you can watch any sporting event while enjoying handcrafted cocktails and scenic views,” said spokesman Robert Lothian.
The menu offers a selection of scratch-made foods and handcrafted cocktails. The bar features 24 beers on tap.
Signature items include fried Brussels sprouts and a cider-brined, bone-in pork chop.
“We really like to reflect on our brilliant flavors that relate to the menu, by focusing on every detail that goes into making a cocktail,” Lothian said.
The restaurant connects with neighbors by hosting Culinaria, a food and wine festival, and Silver & Black Give Back, a Spurs-oriented nonprofit, which inspires and invests in area youth.
By participating in local charitable efforts, Grille 254 supports community needs, the spokesman said.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Happy hour is 3-7 p.m. weekdays.
