Alamo City fashionistas ramped up the couture for several chic events aimed at local trendsetters and charities.

The glam set sipped and shopped their way through Neiman Marcus during the Spring Launch Party with a cocktail reception and a fashion show offering a peek into the coming season’s looks. The after-party included  beauty bars, gift baskets and music by DJ Catwalk.

The new lineups for spring? Hopeless romantic, urban sophisticate, go-getter, colorful personality and free spirit.

At the Cowgirls Live Forever Scholarship Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Witte Museum, the western set joined KSAT TV anchor Myra Arthur to honor King Ranch matriarch Janell Kleberg. Attendees watched an exciting runway show with a nod to our western roots filled with fun fashions from Julian Gold. Since its inception, the style show has raised $1.8 million in scholarships for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Educational Foundation.

All dressed up with so many places to go, Mums and Mimosas offered the well-dressed an opportunity to shine. This swanky raffle and lunch was chaired by Katie Loftin and Sarah Owens, and honored founders Jennifer Colglazier, Scotty MacDaniel and Mary McNelis.

The crowd dined on delicious macaroni-and-cheese pot pie made with love by Rosemary Kowalski.

During the affair, which was sponsored by Good Samaritan Community Services, keynote speaker Kimberly Williams-Paisley, star of “Father of the Bride” and wife of country-music legend Brad Paisley, spoke of coping with her mother’s battle with a rare form of dementia.
