A passion to help people feel better through hemp-based products led Jason Robert and Mike Sanders to create The Botanical Shoppe, which recently debuted its third store.
The duo developed the shop in 2018 to sell cannabidiol, or CBD, and products rich in phytocannabinoids, or PCR, to promote health and wellness. PCR occurs naturally in cannabis plants.
The newest outlet opened Nov. 9 in The Colonnade I at 9815 Interstate 10 West, preceded by the first store in May at 18154 Blanco Road, Suite 104, and the second in June in Kerrville.
“People just really want to come in and find something that’s a better alternative,” said regional manager Andrea Tinney.
Offerings include tincture oils, gel caps, topical salves, all-natural vape juice, gumdrops and dog treats. Remedy is the store’s brand.
“We try to streamline it with just the one brand, different dosages, different delivery systems, but all the same CBD,” Tinney said.
According to her, the store’s products may help alleviate pain, nausea, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and other ills.
“We try to be very transparent with our customers and we definitely don’t make any kind of promises,” Tinney said.
Staffers’ recommendations are based on customer testimonials and independent research.
The shop also has an organic skincare line called HEMP 360 from New Braunfels featuring soaps, face masks, lotion, sunscreen and bug spray.
Remedy products are organic with ingredients from Colorado and Florida, including pharmaceutical-grade, industrial hemp with no traces of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the hallucinogen in marijuana.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and closed Sunday.
