Window Genie can make your wish come true for cleaner panes around the home or office, says the owner of the recently debuted franchise in San Antonio.

Jay Beyler, who opened the window-washing service July 31, left the corporate world wanting to give back to the community and run a small business.

To make that happen, he bought an outlet of the Cincinnati-based home-service company. Window Genie, founded in 1994, is a Dwyer Group subsidiary with more than 100 franchise partners in 31 states, according to a spokeswoman.

Located at 19179 Blanco Road, Suite 429, the neighborhood shop seeks residential and small-business clients across the North Side, Hollywood Park, Fair Oaks Ranch, Shavano Park and surrounding areas.

“It’s more affordable than people think,” Beyler said. “They actually get a better view of their windows once they are clean because most people don’t know how to professionally clean their windows.”

Window Genie offers many options in addition to sparkling views: gutter cleaning, window tinting, pressure washing and installing holiday lighting.

Beyler made his purchase after getting laid off as chief sales officer for a design manufacturer when new ownership came in, according to a press release. He said it was time for a change anyway, and took a shine to this new opportunity.

“It’s a great feeling knowing you’re providing a much-needed service that’ll touch so many homes in my community, and that I am in a position to create jobs locally,” he added.

According to the spokeswoman, “Field technicians are fully trained, insured, bonded and have passed a background check.”

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
