Olmos Drive. It is just west of Olmos Park’s traffic circle.“We like to entertain friends and family, have a comfy and welcoming home full of affordable art, and give thoughtful gifts to those we love — even pets,” Ginger Diaz said. The store, which debuted Aug. 26, focuses on art and ways to connect with friends and family.Favorite items include dog ponchos, prints and shirts by local artist Cruz Ortiz, and unique party supplies. The store also offers cards, candles and accessories, handmade furniture and vintage Turkish rugs.Ginger Diaz said they love to feature local artists. The genesis for the shop began when she was at school. Diaz fell in love with a retail store but couldn’t afford its items on a student’s limited budget, which is why she prefers to keep the prices affordable at Felíz Modern. The store features gifts ranging from $3 to more than $1,200.“We want our customers to be able to find everything from a funny card, unique accessories or the best gift for their loved one, because giving is more fun than receiving anyway,” Diaz saidWith their shop close to Olmos Park, the owners said they enjoy the town’s neighborhood feel, as well as its central location. The store has pull-up parking to make it easier for customers to quickly grab gifts.Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.FELIZ MODERN110 W.
