The stylish gathered at Neiman Marcus to sip and shop their way through the store and get a glimpse of fall fashions during an exciting runway show. The opulence, decadence and bright colors of the 1980s are back, baby.
Must-have looks for fall include peacock blues and greens, animal prints, sneakers with exaggerated soles, punk, power pantsuits, shoulder pads, menswear-inspired tailoring, shades of burgundy, merlot and lilac and sequins, sequins and more sequins.
According to Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing, “Wearing sequins to Starbucks makes you happy all day long.”
Elsewhere, a rousing discussion of “Rules of Civility” by Amor Towles was hosted by The First Edition Society’s Boozy Book Club and the San Antonio Public Library Foundation.
This polymathic party moderated by local bookworm Cameron Redding at Downstairs, the Esquire Tavern’s “uncomplicated, intimate riverside lounge and hangout,” provided light bites, adult beverages and a most lively, literary discussion among the Renaissance men and women of San Antonio society.
